Geocache Description:

When the beloved family dog Buck dies (and thinks he is going to the other side) he is reincarnated as the Bundy's new dog Lucky.

Buck was the wisecracking, family insulting and ever lovable dog of the Bundy family. He would appear on the show for 10 seasons and was in more episodes than either of Marcy's husbands! When Buck passes away, he thinks he is headed to The Other Side, but instead he is punished for his enormous aggression towards cats and is reincarnated as the Bundy's new dog Lucky. Kind of like this cache, it was meant for better things, but as "punishment" for the sins of other cachers, it will stand alone on The Other Side.

I spend a decent amount of time on the Bethpage Bike Trail and have found most of the caches hidden along the way. I recently took note of the fact that there weren't any hides on the other side of the parkway between Hempstead Turnpike and Boundary Avenue though. While there are some paved paths on that side, there are some gaps too so I guess this side doesn't get nearly as many visitors.

Cache is a small lock-and-lock with a log book and room for some small trade items, but please BYOP. The cache is hidden a short distance from one of the paved trails. There are a lot of thorns near these paths, however there are none near GZ. BTW, for those of you who have not logged it yet, there is a benchmark nearby that is very difficult to miss.

I have posted coordinates for one of the entrances to the paths. From there it is about 1/2 mile walk to the cache location during which you will need to walk across a grassy section to get to the next paved section. However, there are a few ways in and there is even one shortcut available that I spotted if you want to look for it to save you the longer walk. Either way, I hope you enjoy finding this cache on The Other Side.

Geocaching marble for the FTF!
