Geocache Description:

On the Lewis & Clark Commemorative Trail, not far from Hat Rock State Park, this cache brings you close to a rock wall on one side and a steep drop to the river on the other side.

This completes my efforts in hiding geocaches along the Lewis & Clark Commemorative Trail. From McNary Beach to Hat Rock State Park allows the geocacher to walk along the historic Columbia River for over four miles, collecting finds every half mile or less. The view is wonderful, great places to picnic, fish and explore. I've seen hawks, beaver, deer, muskrat, rock chucks. I've heard coyotes in the distance. Cleft is a small cache container, made to blend in with its surroundings, easy to grab, no climbing needed. Wear gloves, BYOP, watch for the occasional jogger or hiker.
