Firefly/Serenity Series

The Firefly Series and Serenity Movie is a favorite in our household. We have decided to share our love for it with you! Though it should be said that the shows and movie may have some crude comments and scenes.

Firefly is a series that was created by Joss Whedon. The series is a space western drama set in the year 2517. Humans now live in a new star system after destroying “Earth-that-was”. The series follows a nine member crew on a Firefly-class spaceship.

Firefly premiered on Fox network in 2002. It was cancelled and only produced and aired 14 episodes. After the DVD release’s strong sales and the large fan support campaigns, Whedon produced the movieSerenity to close out the television series.

Firefly was listed #5 on TV Guide’s 2013 List of Shows “Cancelled Too Soon”.

Though there is more in the franchise, this Geocache series is only based on the TV series and the movieSerenity.

There will be 10 caches total. Each member of the crew will have their own cache and one for the ship. Each crew member will have a quiz to solve for their location. Also, in the Geocache container there will be a clue for finding the final cache – the ship, Serenity.
