As cachers, we all have caches that will forever be etched in our memories, as well as the hiders that placed them there. Ones that stand a grade above the rest due to their creativity and uniqueness. I know this is certainly the case for me, as these exceptional caches and cacher hiders always bring a beaming smile to my face no matter what my mood. After becoming a hider myself, the perfect placement, cleverly engendered, creativity, and planning behind each and every one of these caches has only become more and more appreciated. Great caches, that seem as if the place was designed for the cache rather than the other way around. Such caches are no easy endeavor to create, and require a certain labor of love, but it is only with that extra effort that beaming smiles may be placed on all who find it. This has always been my desire when I create and place caches, and certainly is the desire for this event as well.
This particular Marker Madness event is very unique and special as it coincides with the 26th Birthday of one of our very own exceptional cachers, KristaWalks,
This event will go from 11am-2pm outside Binghamton University’s, Event Center, to cheer KristaWalks Celebrating her birthday, as well as join in the collaborative making of a one of a kind geocache, which will later be hidden. This is where your creativity comes if you want you can cintribute to help Making small creations and plaques to put in the cache. There will be supplies to do this on site, or you are certainly welcome to share ideas and or bring your own too, the more supplies and ideas the more smiles we can bring when it is finished!! So put on those thinking caps and gather up supplies (travel bugs, swag, pictures, stickers, you name it ), as we all add something to this cache. And again, all ideas and suggestions are welcome, so feel free to share before hand.
But wait that is not all!!! There will also be a contest held during this event!! And epic prizes to whomever has the most creative cache, so design a cache and bring it in for a chance to win. There is no limitations to the cache so let your mind go wild. All are welcome to come, and if you can’t come up with a cache in time, no worries, just come out, cheer out a big Happy Birthday to Krista, take part in making an epic cache, and come share stories of you favorite hides amidst the company of awesome local cachers. This is sure to be an awesome event, so log your will attends, and get your creative minds a working.
