Geocache Description:

A night time only cache. You will need a torch.

In the 1970s, a huge plan for a large satellite city was created. Environmental impact studies, town planning, a lot took place. And yet the city was never built. Why? Official reasons include a lower than expected population growth, a recession and lack of support from suspicious interest groups.

But was that REALLY the reason?

What ACTUALLY happened, was that rare and dangerous animals were found lurking in the bushland around the Monarto site. Sure, there were the usual drop bears - on their own a manageable threat - but the never before seen Vampiroos (kangaroos with big pointy teeth and a taste for human blood) and Zombats (wombats that have risen from the dead, grown big pointy teeth and also have a taste for human blood) were too much to handle.

These hideous creatures still lurk in the trees near GZ. You will only see them at night.

At the published coordinates, you will see what these creatures look like. Follow them until one of them presents you with the clue to the final cache. As always, make sure you have a torch and a friend who cannot run as fast as you.

Children (and some adults) may find this cache disturbing. Team Wibble accepts no responsibility for any current or future psychological damage incurred by young geocachers in the pursuit of this cache. Photographs of the experience by successful finders are encouraged, and those concerned can reference them (or talk to us) about the suitability of this cache.
