It is a bushwalk to get to this cache which is in a delightful spot along the track to Mount Connection from Big Bend. Expect to take about 1 hour to walk the 3 kilometres to reach what is a little oasis in the bush.

Although the first half of this walk is on the rubbly Big Bend Fire Trail the second half gets progressively more pleasant walk. The first turn off onto a track (from fire trail and signed) is a little overgrown and can remain wet at times. The second junction has had maintenance work and is now a clear and easily to follow track through the wooded area then meets a moorland of open heath which is boardwalked. It crosses the headwaters of Mountain River just before reaching the cache site in a copse of trees.
There is an opening in the scrub to allow easy entry to the location of the cache, there is no need to bash through bushes.
Car parking spots are marked as additional waypoints. We find that C1 is the best. Track junctions are also included to help.
