Geocache Description:

Cache is not at the posted coordinates! As a geo-geneticist, you must solve the puzzle below:

All cells, whether prokaryotic or eukaryotic, have a membrane that envelops the cell, regulates what moves in and out (selectively permeable), and maintains the electric potential of the cell. Inside the membrane, a salty cytoplasm takes up most of the cell volume. All cells (except red blood cells which lack a cell nucleus and most organelles to accommodate maximum space for hemoglobin) possess DNA, the hereditary material of genes, and RNA, containing the information necessary to build various proteins such as enzymes, the cell's primary machinery.

• Stores food, water, metabolic, and toxic wastes
• Sorts, packages, processes and modifies proteins
• Makes incomplete ribosomes
• Barrier between cell and its environment
• The main microtubule organizing center
• Digests old organelles, food particles, and engulfed viruses/bacteria
• Contains genetic material and controls cell activities
• Complex of DNA and proteins that make up the contents of the nucleus
• Synthesizes proteins
• Contains materials to be excreted from the cell
• Breaks down very long chain fatty acids through beta-oxidation
• Flexible linear polymers made of actin subunits
• Site of aerobic cellular respiration
• Supports and protects cell organelles
