"Maker's Madness" Event: Colorado Edition Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

animjason: Event has passed and looks like everyone has logged it. Thanks all for coming! The area was a little too small for how many turned out, which is a good problem to have! My next event will be a CITO soon, hope to see you all there too!

There are still THREE trackables logged into the event, I hope that they are picked up and not lost!!!

Geocache Description:

Do you collect souvenirs? Groundspeak has a special souvenir to celebrate the 'Makers' of the game. I didn't see any events in Colorado so I created one for those who want to grab this unique souvenir! This location is right off of I-25 for easy access.

This Event will be held in the Community Room of Lincoln Pointe Lofts from 9:00am-10:00am. Go in the main entrance and straight ahead, to your left is the entrance to the room. There are many great caches nearby for you to enjoy afterwards.

"Hundreds of Maker Madness events around the world aim to inspire geocachers. While amazing geocaches live on and on, Maker Madness is for a limited-time only. It runs from March 28 through April 7. Everyone logging an “Attended” for a Maker Madness event earns a digital “Maker” souvenir for their geocaching profile."

This is an event to both honor the makers of great caches, and to provide an opportunity for the rest of us to learn. There can be many different aspects to a great cache. It may be the container, the location, a twisted puzzle, a series theme, the places a multi may take you, or just about any number of other things - like "how did we get out of that one alive?" So, bring your stories about great containers, themes, caching experiences. Anything at all that helps make this such the wonderful sport we enjoy so much. Also this is a great time to ask any questions you may have about any part of caching. Phred lives here and may be able to help you solve his cache.

Bring some of your best ideas that haven't become caches yet and maybe someone can help you make it a reality. I know I have some ideas that need some fine-tuning to become a reality.

Speaking of "Makers", this happens to be my 50th hide!!! I will supply some OJ and donuts. Feel free to bring other snacks and coffee is BYOC. I created my own version of Geo-Bingo to celebrate the Makers. Meet other cachers, as well as learn about some great caches in our beautiful state!
