People often call the Eastern section of the Yarkon park the "other side" of the park. The path there on the northern bank is well used. But apparently many people do not realize that the OTHER side (the southern bank) of the "other side" (the Eastern part of the park) ALSO has a biking trail.
This biking trail runs from the corner of Abba Hillel/Ben Gurion , behind the stadium, then all the way along the southern bank of the Yarkon to Geha highway. There are entrances to the trail at the Mivtza Kaddesh bridge (over the arched stairs near the ten mills cache), and from Lechi street.
[Just after the Geha highway underpass there is a bridge one can use to cross to the other side of the Yarkon. (However the trails under the underpass and further on, as well as this section of the northern side, are NOT paved and may be very deserted as well)]. Along the way you may see horses, beehives, orchards, and certainly fields.
The bike trail is paved (up to the Geha underpass), but there is much less upkeep on this side than the northern side: ie no water and no toilets, and often mud on the trail.
This side is also sunnier than the northern side, and in the summer a hat is a MUST, as well as plenty of water.
The advantage of this side is that it is quieter and with much less "traffic" than the north side. In the meantime BYOP
