Who doesn't like geo-art?
The idea is to walk around an open field, such as the one found just northeast of the posted coordinates, carrying a GPSr or other device capable of creating a tracklog, and guiding your hike so that your tracklog draws a giant picture. It can be as simple as a stick figure, or as complex as an Escher drawing. The details are irrelivent. All that matters is that you have fun doing it, or, at the very least, have fun watching other folks doing it. What I'd like to do is save all the geo-art, and post them on the cache page. I'll bring my laptop, and a Garmin cable. If you want me to save your geo-art, and have something other than a Garmin, you'll need to bring your own cable. If you want to draw, but don't have a GPSr, feel free to borrow mine.
Note: You need not draw geo-art to log an 'Attended". Your degree of participation is entirely up to you. Wanna draw? Kewl! Wanna just schmooze? That's kewl too! Wanna pop in for 30 seconds, then scamper off? I'm okay with that, as well. I'll be bringing some sort of less than healthy snackage to share. Maybe donuts? Feel free to bring more grub to share, if so inclined. On a side note, I have a group camping permit in my hot little hands, covering this entire three day weekend. If you wish to play here after sunset, either camping or night caching, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, I can shoot you a copy. Your fees are covered.
Have you heard about Groundspeak's Maker Madness project? It's pretty dern kewl, if you ask me. Essentially, the project is a global celebration of creativity, spanning several days. By attending a Makers Madness event, you get a special souvenir. How awesome is that?
See you there!
