Geocache Description:

From March 28 to April 7, geocachers around the world are joining together to celebrate the people in their community who make geocaching possible. Groundspeak are calling this celebration Maker Madness.

This is a recognized Maker Madness event. Anyone who logs an "Attended" gets an official virtual souvenir badge.

WHERE :
Eastern Park covered BBQ area, near the Botanical Gardens.

WHEN :
Friday 28th March, from 18h30 to 20h00.

WHO :
All geocachers - finders, hiders and socializers.

WHAT :
Event/meet-and-greet/workshop/BBQ.
Whether you are happy just finding caches, have built many yourself, or are still planning your first one, come along to this get-together and get some insight into what goes into making a creative cache. Meet some of the people who place and maintain the hides that make geocaching possible. Get some inspiration and ideas to make your own favourite-points-winning cache! We'll discuss and share ideas on :
  1. Container types (tupperware, bison tubes, waterproofing)
  2. Camouflage
  3. Wood
  4. Rocks
  5. Painting and priming
  6. Drilling
  7. Glues
  8. Magnets
  9. Groundspeak guidelines (digging, use of nails etc.)
If you want to showcase or discuss a particular cache you have built or are busy building, please bring it along.
