Pretty awesome, eh?
At its simplest, the Maker Madness Project celebrates those who 'make' this hobby possible, by 'making' the geocaches we love to find. Last week, I was engrossed in the 'making' process, scouting out this area for a potential future night cache. I was quite flummoxed by the sheer volume of detritus which had been discarded by local rednecks. Since part of the 'making' process is preperatory, I heard the knocking of opportunity with all this trash. I don't want to bring future seekers here, with the parking areas in such disrepair, so I figured I'd draw on the resources of the local caching community to 'make' this place worthy of visiting.
Whilst this is not a designated Maker Madness event, it still 'makes' for a good play on words.
There are three different parking areas off of Reed Ellis Rd. Meet me at the posted coordinates, where we will divide into groups to attack all three parking lots with a somewhat equal size group of people at each area. Then everyone should come back here to dump the garbage on me. I'll likely bring some form of hideously unhealthy snackage to nom, as well as trash bags for those who need them. Once we are done, I'll be transporting the trash to the SJRWMD dumpster in the Little Big Econ State Forest.
