Another old favorite song of mine! The lyrics of some songs from the 70's and 80's may not make sense to some, but the music itself is always recognizable and brings back memories for most of us from 'that generation'. This song by APRIL WINE is from their HARDER...FASTER album released in 1979. The group APRIL WINE is a Canadian rock band that formed in 1969, so named for the simple reason that the band members thought the two words sounded 'good' together. The band has released more than 20 albums and has been together for more than 40 years after its beginning as a hard rock group.(source:Wikipedia). The distinctive vocals of guitarist Myles Goodwyn make April Wine songs almost instantly recognizable from the opening riff of any song.
I chose this location as it's a favorite area of mine, I used to travel through here quite often when I worked at Det. Dundurn. I chose this song name for the cache as before I worked with soldiers, and married one, I admit that I never really acknowleged our Military personnel when I saw them in public places. People tend to get a bit tongue-tied or intimidated by the uniform or the vehicles and such. The next time you see a Member of the Canadian Forces, I encourage you to SAY HELLO!
