Geocache Description:


This cache is located inside the North Burial Ground in Providence at the corner of Branch Ave. and North Main St. Please note that while you may drive within the cemetery grounds, the cemetery gates are locked at 4 pm. To avoid any conflicts you may find on street parking near N41° 50.944 W71° 24.233 and enter/exit the cemetery through the nearby gate via the stairway. Please only search for this cache during daylight hours.

To find this cache:

Use the listed waypoints to look for the four headstones referenced below. Depending on your knowledge base, you may need to do a bit of research to solve the first part of the puzzle before heading to The North Burial Ground for the field puzzle portion. Each stone is within 75 - 300 feet of a waypoint, and the correct stone should be obvious once you determine what you are looking for. You should be able to spot it from the waypoint. From the stone, obtain the first 3 letters of the surname, then using the letter chart below, create a 3 digit number for each.

There will be two stones for both N and W. Add the two North stones together for the last three digits of the N coords, and do the same for the West numbers.
