The pipeline 3: The joint
Åmot kraftverk tilhører kraftselskapet VOKKS, og forsynes via en rørgate fra Beritknappen inntaksdam. Selve kraftverket er bygget i 1985. Det erstatter det gamle verket som tilhørte Toten cellulose. Verket har en slukeevne på ca 4m3/sek, og kjører normalt med et vannforbruk på 3-3,5m3/sek. Noe å tenke over når du går langs det gamle trerøret. På dette stedet er det gamle trerøret skjøtt sammen med et moderne rør av helt annet materiale. På dette punktet er vanntrykket relativt beskjedent. Rusle gjerne inntil og ta en nærmere titt.

The Åmot powerplant belongs to the power company VOKKS and is supplied via a pipeline from Beritknappen intake dam. The powerplant was built in 1985. It replaces the old work that belonged to Toten cellulose. The work has an intake capacity of about 4m3/sek and running normally with a water consumption of 3 to 3.5 m3/sec. Something to think about when you walk along the old woodenpipe. At this place, the old woodenpipe is spliced together with a modern pipe of very different materials. Take a look at how the developers have united old and new technique here. This combination of old and new is quite rare. In this section the waterpressure is relatively low, and you take no great risk if you walk over to the pipe to take a closer look.
