When I was a youngster, my great, great, great….and so on Aunt decided that I should learn to play the piano. I think it was so she could sing while I played. We didn't have a piano, so as you can imagine taking lessons and practicing was not easy. I didn't like it! Then one day she decided to buy me a piano, but she kept it at her house. I would go there every day after school and practice. Unfortunately she broke her hip and ended up in a nursing home and the piano came to my house. That later part was good! I so loved playing the piano, it helped me get through some tough times in my life. My piano teacher was old (ha-ha, probably my age now!!! Perspective!) And she always made me play classical songs, which I hated as a teenager! One day I heard a song by Kiss, it was called Beth, I asked my piano teacher to teach me that song, and she did!! I was so happy I could play rock n roll! Soon though I would be separated from my piano as I grew up and moved out and the piano stayed at my parents’ house. Over the years I have missed playing and often wished I could do it again. Last year as my birthday approached my children asked what I wanted for my birthday and I replied piano lessons!!! So, the adventure began, my son bought me some lessons and I was so excited I could hardly wait for them to start!! Once again I was without a piano and wondered how I was going to make this work, but I wasn't worried. My lessons would not start until January so I had some time to work that plan out. Much to my surprise Santa bought me an electronic piano for Christmas, and I cried!! While I am no Beethoven, or even Mozart, I have managed to play jingle bells with two hands!! I hope to someday be able to play Beth again!
This is a quick park and grab, bring your own pen and watch for muggles, I imagine the drive through lane across the way for the doughnut shop gets very busy during certain hours of the day!
