ATV Underpass Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sunbird2004: It's time has come. I don't live close enough to maintain this anymore, so it is history. Besides, BLM is threatening to close this whole area, so it won't be long before nobody can get here anyway. It was fun while it lasted...and I lived in Brenda!

Geocache Description:

THIS IS NOT A PARK AND GRAB! NO CARS ALLOWED!

NOTE: as of January 2, 2022 this underpass is no longer passable by machine! It looks like gravel and rocks have filled up half of the tunnel.

If you are on I-10, please do not stop. There is no parking available and you won't be able to get to the cache anyway.

If you are not street-legal but need to cross the highway, this is one place where you can cross under it. This is a culvert that goes under I-10. I recommend only ATVs to go through the culvert. If you are north of the highway, you can get to the cache by ATV, UTV, 4x4, or a small pickup. A UTV could go through the culvert if you can detach that pretty top. All vehicles can go about a mile west to the bridge on Ramsey Mine Road to cross over.

If you are south of the highway, you could get to the culvert and then walk about 1/4 mile under the highway to the cache.

This cache is a large Altoids tin with a logbook and a pencil.

Congratulations to rorcutt5 and jypsyj for getting FTF together!

If you find any problem with my caches, please write a NOTE. If you just say something in your regular log, I probably will not see it. When I get 22 logs from a finder and they are all identical (copy/paste), I read about 3 and then delete the rest of them unseen. If you leave a note, I have filters to filter them out into their own folder so I will see them. Of course, any DNF will also filter out, so I will find them as well.
