This cache involves a pleasant walk along the 8 mile Lochgoin circular route, taking geocachers about half way round the route before diverting to take a higher track that overlooks Lochgoin Reservoir. The reservoir is said to have been a marshland in the past - and it's also said that 2 government soldiers were killed by Covenanters and buried in a watery grave in the marsh.
The route is on well surfaced paths and on warm summers days there's lots of wildlife to look out for such as Skylarks, Meadow Pipets, Curlew, Snipe, Red Grouse, birds of prey and lots more.
The well hidden cache is a small tupperware box with some goodies stashed inside.
