Go Forth and CREATE!!!
Join us (Sharon & Ant) with lots of other geocachers around the world to celebrate the people in our community who make geocaching possible. We call this celebration Maker Madness. Every geocacher who logs an “Attended” at this registered event will earn a Maker Madness souvenir. To find out more, visit the geocache blog.
Groundspeak want us to be inspired to go forth and create our own magical geocaching experiences and to help create some special cache containers. Come prepared with lots of ideas and stories about the best geocache containers you have found or made. Sharant will provide some materials and tools to make your own caches at our workshop but start collecting containers, toys, or anything that could be turned into a querky geocache container - make sure they are water-tight, and can survive outdoors weather. All donations of supplies will be welcome and don't forget to bring your glue guns and sticky tape and let's start building some unusual containers.
At 4:30 time for building ends and we will display all the containers and everybody will get to vote for the best cache. A prize will be awarded to the best adult and child cache container!
There's a 21-cache loop nearby - thanks to Parkhouses, in case you wish to make a full day of your trip here. Just be sure to be back in time to make some cool stuff!
