This cache is the 16th in the series and can be found near All Saints; the Parish Church of Lonan. The walkers have had a long hard hilly walk from Maughold Church to here and they are usually delighted to be heading on towards the final church. 78 miles done.

All Saints Parish Church, Lonan

Lonan Parish extends from Port Groudle in the south to the Snaefell mines and Brandywell Corner ( on the TT course to the east of Beinn-y-Phott), a distance of some six miles or 10 km, and contains an area of 15 square miles. It is an upland district, being hilly and barren, and dropping sharply into the sea, with the exception of a few small deep, sheltered glens. The highest point in the parish is Mullagh Ouyr (near Snaefell) at 491m or about 1610 feet. Its coastline is high and rocky, and broken by several headlands and small bays. The main headlands are Laxey Head, and Clay Head; and the bays are Bulgham Bay, Laxey Bay, Garwick, and Port Groudle. The only significant valleys are Laxey Glen, famous for its romantic beauty, extending from the Snaefell mines to the sea and Glen Roy, which leads into Laxey Glen at Laxey village.

This is a small Multi cache with the co-ordinates above taking you to the main door of the Church, there you will have to use your observational skills to obtain the co-ords for the final cache which can be found a short walk away.

Final co-ordinates are N 54.13.0AB W 004.24.CDE. Where

A = Number of large stones leaning on church gable plus maximum number of screws in access cover.

B = Second number in date on Spire.

C = First plus last number in date on Spire.

D = Number of hinge brackets on main door minus 1.

E = Number of large evergreen trees by path way, to the south of where you are standing.

Parking is available in the small car park adjacent to the Church. Please bring your own pen/pencil and replace the cache exactly as found, and as usual, WATCH OUT FOR MUGGLES!

Happy caching!
