Found this jewel of a place while getting the other caches on this trail. As we were walking, we smelled the most PLEASANT fragrance. At first, I thought Hoots had put on perfume, but then knowing that that was ridiculous because we were walking on a trail, I stopped to try to place the smell. After sitting and ENJOYING the sweet and calming aroma we decided it was CERTAINLY the smell of roses. I'm not sure where this wonderful fragrance radiates from, but there HAS to be a GIANT field of roses in one of the surrounding private properties. I only wish I could see it, but at least by going to this section of the trail you are BLESSED with their CALMING and ENCHANTING scent. I HIGHLY encourage you to come to this cache in summer to FULLY appreciate the natural perfume radiating from nearby - you must wait until the roses are in full blume, to enjoy their essence! Also, make sure to walk a little farther down the trail to see the EPIC AND TOTALLY NATURAL waterfall hidden on this trail. I don't know why this waterfall is not a national monument for tourists from all over the world to flock to! Luckily for us, it is here for the viewing! Hurry up and come to this lovely area NOW!!!!
