Third Time Lucky? (Taupo) Traditional Cache

Although it looks pretty close to the road, this cache isn't quite a park-and-grab!

This area is mainly used by mountain bikers, so watch out for them and get out of their way. Keep your dog on a leash and your children nearly as close!

You can access the cache from either side of the state highway but you DON'T have to cross the busy road. Go and check out the cool tunnel that will take you across!

This geocache container, contents and logbook are now on their third life. Now that free public access to the Wairakei Forest is no more, I'm trying to find a new home near its area of origin.

Maybe it will become the cat-cache: with nine lives!

But hopefully it doesn't get muggled: After you find the cache, make sure you hide it well and none of its bright colours are showing!

The cache was hidden using a Garmin Oregon 650, averaging the waypoint for 2 minutes. But it was an overcast day and I only got a 50% confidence with a 10m accuracy. If you find the coordinates could be better, feel free to let me know.
