Geocache Description:

Named for the dance festival that is held at this park each spring to celebrate the birth of hula on the island of Moloka'i.

Papohaku Beach Park is a terrific place to spend a day or a weekend. Camping is available, as well as picnic tables, grills, bath house, and showers for rinsing sand from the beach. Be sure to wear shoes while under the trees and hunting the cache (kiawe thorns can go through a thin slipper sole and they hurt!). The beach here is the longest and widest on Moloka'i, and it's western location makes it a perfect place for some fabulous sunsets. On clear days you can easily see the windward coast of O'ahu.

The cache is a camo'd plastic container. Please be sure to hide/cover it well after you are finished.
