Since 1957 this has been a non denominational chapel. Prior to that it was a Baptist chapel from when it was built until closure in 1956 due to a dwindling congregation. It was built in the Gothic style with 120 seats.
Herbert Doel, son of the pastor and historian William Doel bought the chapel on condition that it could reopen as a chapel again. This it did in June 1957.
Above the doorway there is a stone shield with a date on it. This date is ABCD.
The cache is a short stroll away on the pavement the same side of the road as the chapel.
Cache is at :- N 51 17.(C-A)AA W 002 11 (C-D)DA
“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
