Fornebu can boast of a plethora of bird species that inhabit or transit the area. The starting point for the cache is the former position of the Fornebu bird tower, which was erected in 2003, but decomissioned in 2015 because of lack of maintenance.
If the weather is warm, consider bringing swimming gear. When you are at the cache, you are already well on your way to Storøya beach.
Pretend to get up in the tower and see if you can spot a bird of interest. You should look towards north-northeast, roughly in the direction of the Holmenkollen ski jump. It is possible to spot the bird during the dark hours, but it will certainly be a big challenge.

Fornebu kan skryte av at rikt mangfold av fuglearter som enten holder til eller reiser gjennom området. Startpunktet for denne cachen er den tidligere posisjonen til Fornebu sitt fugletårn. Dette ble reist i 2003, men ble revet i 2015, pga manglende vedlikehold.
Hvis det er varmt vær, vurder å ta med badetøy. Når du er ved cachen er du ikke langt unna Storøya badestrand.
Lat som om du går opp i tårnet og se om du kan få øye på en interessant fugl. Du bør se mot nord-nordøst, cirka i retning Holmenkollen hoppbakke. Det er mulig å se fuglen når det er mørkt, men det vil jammen ikke være lett.
