Geocache Description:

22 April 2008 RELOCATED with NEW CACHEBOX

By the River Weaver in the Vale Royal of Cheshire

This is hidden in a small country park near Winsford and in sight of the last working salt mine in England at Meadowbank with impressive heaps of rock salt waiting to be spread on our roads in Winter. If approaching from the West, there are two bridges over the river, suggesting that in the past there may have been a lock here. They lead to a small car park and picnic area.
The main West Coast railway line is 300yds away from the car park up the lane but the trains can hardly be heard in this peaceful spot. A caravan site occupies what appear to have been railway sidings and the lane tunnels under part of the site before going under the main railway.

Care is needed not to be seen by fishermen not only by the river but also at the small fishing lodge just above the cache site.

Please rehide with enough solid material over the cache so that the cover will not blow away but not too obvious stickoflage.

TAKE CARE NOT TO PUT YOUR FOOT IN ONE OF THE MANY HOLES NEAR THE CACHE
