Geocache Description:

The cache is located at the roadside in close proximity to Moylough Cemetery. It has clear views of a Watertower and Castle.

Moylough Castle is an very early Hall House of the 13th century. The chief of the OMannin clan resided at Moylough Castle. In 1617, Hugh O'Mannin surrendered his estates to the king and received them back by letters patent. The whole property was confiscated after the Cromwellian wars, but a small portion of it was restored under the Act of Settlement in 1676.
