This cache is the 9th in the series and can be found near the Parish Church of Michael. After the all the noise and excitement in Peel (German) the coast road to Kirk Michael is where the serious walkers come to the fore. 39 miles done.

Kirk Michael Parish Church

The Parish stretches from the Irish Sea, to the west, inland to Druidale, to the east and from Orrisdale, in the north, to Glen Cam, in the south. The main road between the towns of Peel and Ramsey, to the north and east, joins the Isle of Man TT course coming from St. John's in Kirk Michael village. The Parish contains a few settlements, the main village is Kirk Michael. There is a coastal strip of agricultural land, and the remainder of the parish consists of moorland, of which the highest points are Slieau Freoghane - 488m, Sartfell - 454m, Slieau Curn - 351m and Slieau Dhoo - 432m (together known as the Michael Hills). 'Cronk Urleigh' is a small hillock near Kirk Michael which until 1428 was the site of the Tynwald Courts.

The above co-ords take you to Kirk Michael Parish Church and the last resting place of Bishop Wilson, a man of great stature who played an essential role in the Isle of Man's development. The following quote by John Henry Newman says it all.

"A burning and shining light was Bishop Wilson; he seemed like the Baptist in an evil time, as if a beacon lighted on his small island to show what his Lord and Saviour could do in spite of man; how when a nation had fallen into the enemies' hands he could preach to it even off its own shores, and be nigh at hand when they would fain leave him not so much as to set his foot on. The English soil, indeed, had its own witnesses and teachers at the time; but none at once so exalted. in station and so saintly in character, so active and so tried in his lifetime, and so influential in his works, as Bishop Wilson."

This is a small Multi cache, at the given co-ordinates you will have to use your observational skills to obtain the co-ords for the final cache which can be found a short walk away.

Final co-ordinates are N 54.AB.C0D W 004.35.0EF. Where
