In 1945 Gawler Blocks residents formed a Progress Association. Within a year they had raised the money to purchase an ex military hall from Sandy Creek and installed it on land donated by Mr. Murray Hillier. In 2010 work began on an adjacent community centre. On May 31, 2011 the Evanston Gardens Community Centre was offically opened.
This cache is close to the road so please supervise children and be gentle with the newly established gardens. Stealth may be required as muggles come and go throughout the day.
