It's Chris's turn to open up and show a soft vunrable side to his tough bravado. He tells Gordie the story of the milk money that was stolen at the school. We learn that even though he is from the wrong side of the track, he still is after all a kid, and that he shouldn't have been taken advantage of by the people that he should be able to trust.
It's the summer of 1959 in Castlerock, Oregon. The story is about four boys, Gordie, Chris, Teddy and Vern, are great friends who are 12 going on13. After learning of the general location of the body of a local boy who has been missing for several days, they set off into woods to see it. Along the way, they learn about themselves, the meaning of friendship and the need to stand up for what is right.
This is one of my most favorite films. It was made in 1986 (released in Australia in March 1987) and based from the book by Stephen King called 'The Body'. It was such a great movie that I thought that I'd make a series taking you on an adventure much like the characters in the film. There is even a railway line to follow...but the only thing you won't find is a body! This railway line however, has been disused for years and you will see on your journey, where the disused line has been pulled up making it impossible for any trains to use this line. There is an old service track next to the railway line that is now a multi use track for walkers, mountain bikers, 4 wheelers, dirt bikes and 4WD's.
The cache you are looking for is a 400ml sistema that has a log, pencil and a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th to find.
The movie starts in town, so to keep with the theme, you will find the first cache (Gordie) of the series in town. Once the first cache is found, it is just a case of following the track. Should you decide to follow the series from start to finish, it will be about 10km or so. Enjoy!
