Geocache Description:

I'm not ashamed to admit that I enjoy reading the comics and I have a lot of respect for the creativity and imagination of those who write and illustrate them. What would our popular culture be without comics such as Calvin and Hobbes, Dilbert, Peanuts, or The Far Side?

This puzzle requires you to answer some questions based on six lesser known comics. Hopefully, you will have a chuckle or two as you search for the answers.

A When did the "The Barn" comic strip make its debut? Find the DR of the number of the month and year (MMYYYY), then add 2.
B In the strip "Daddy's Home", what is Daddy's first name? (short form) DR+2.
C In the strip "Dog Eat Doug", what is the name of the dog? DR-3.
D In the popular comic written and illustrated by Carla Ventresca and Henry Beckett, what is the name of the Italian restaurant where the main character works? DR+1.
E How old is Scary Gary? DR+1
F In the comic strip "Zack Hill", what is the name of Zack's best friend, of the canine persuasion? DR+2

The cache can be found at N45° 18.ABC W075° 52.DEF

The walk to the cache should be a relatively easy one (no trail) with a very minor, yet prickly, bushwhack at the end.

The cache contains the usual swag including a travel bug plus a selection of comics that were actually my inspiration for this cache. At GZ, there's a spot where you can sit and read them undisturbed. You are welcome to add to the collection any you feel others may enjoy.

Good Luck & Enjoy!
