Glass Cemetery Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

joshuar9476: While this is a beautiful little cemetery, it is outside of the Decatur County limits which is where I try to focus my energy. And since real life has slowed my caching down, it's best to simplify and unfortunately this cache didn't make the cut.

Intro

Please respect all headstones. A lot of work has gone into making sure they remain for generations to discover.

I'm attempting to place caches in as many of Decatur County cemeteries as I can. Take your time and enjoy yourself. You don't have to stop at every headstone, but, please, slow down and look around you. Grave markers can tell a story, or at the very least make you wonder what the story really is. I'd prefer my cemetery caches not be park and grabs.

Headstones to Look For

  • Abraham Bird : A veteran of the War of 1812, he served in the 13th KY Militia.
  • Sarah L. Glass : Feb 1863 - Sept 1863
  • Willie C. Glass : Mar 1864 - April 1864 ... There is also supposed to be a George H. Glass (Aug 24-29, 1865) and an Infant Glass (Aug 8, 1866) buried here.
