Geocache Description:

Shalford Mill is an 18th Century Water Mill where the graffitied, lime-washed walls and the ancient hessian sacks mingle with the smell of the timbers and tallow. Please do not attempt to park at the mill.

Unfortunately the Mill is closed to the public until further notice

GEOCACHING ON NATIONAL TRUST PROPERTY IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This is a very easy puzzle simply to introduce you to an eccentric time in the life of the mill.  Where the answer is a number use that and when the answer is a word use the number of letters in the word eg cache=5.

In what year was the mill presented to the National Trust? A B C D

Who presented it (two words)? E

How many in the inner circle? F
Since publishing this puzzle I have discovered there are two interpretations, if you have an even number subtract 1

What colour was Biddy? G

What carcass did they use? H

What number do you associate with their antagonist? J

The cache is at: N51 E. A (J-A) G      W00 C (C+A). (H-F) D F

For those that might be interested in the story, both daughters lived at the mill and one of them died recently at the age of 101.

Please bring your own pen and rehide carefully afterwards.

I have updated the hint as unfortunately the old hints no longer work.

If you have not already done so why not go and enjoy GC1N5Q6 Church Micro 486 Shalford which is not very far away.
