The Time Gentlemen Please series is a set of 6 caches I have placed around Stockport town center. Highlighting the decline of the good old fashioned British pub. Many of the pubs in Stockport are steeped in history and are for the lucky ones becoming offices or Chinese/Indian restaurants, but many are being demolished. With landlords fighting supermarket deals and the ever growing tax slapped on the humble pint, So I  have on budget day decided to place this cache, and open up the series across the country. I am setting up a web site so others can place a cache at the site of their favourite closed or vanished public house.

The Horsfield Arm has been closed for over a year and has an ominous fence around it like it is ear marked for demolition. Situated in front of the well known brewery that supplied it this is a sorry sight. The pub was used for business lunches by companies from the Industrial Estate, workers after work and I dare say some at lunch time. It was popular at weekend with meals and entertainment. Regulars included in the past  Coronation Street stars Percy Sugden ( Bill Waddington ) and Jack Duckworth ( Bill Tarmey ).

The cache is a small clip lock box with log and room for small swaps and Travel Bugs. BYOP
