14/01/15 - Checked cache today, it's still present and correct but access is now much harder after storm damage, tree feeling and a small landslip, as well as general growth of cutty grass and gorse etc. It's still accessible but be prepared for a rough approach, which ever direction you take. It's a great view at GZ, and you'll have the satisfaction of conquering the route to get there! I've changed the difficulty rating accordingly.
PRE 14/01/15 This cache is located in an elevated forest area, above Muriwai Golf Course, with great views of Muriwai and the Tasman Sea. There are multiple ways to approach the cache, mainly north, east and south, but even from the west for brave hunters. The easiest approach has a fairly well formed walking track for the majority of the way, with a 10-15m section of bush whacking in the middle. All approaches have fairly steep sections. Overall a seasoned hiker will be absolutely fine, but those used to groomed tracks or with small children will struggle. Half the fun of finding this cache is finding a route to it, and the reward is a nice little forested area with great views of the golf course and Muriwai.
Cache is a screw top container with some keyrings in it.
