This traditional cache is located on the Taff Trail High Level Route, a place much-loved by walkers, runners and cyclists. The cache can be reached in either direction: from the path leading down from Forest Fawr and above Castell Coch, or from the branching path coming up from the Low Level Route which runs between Taff’s Well and Nantgarw.
The Sleeping Elephant? Well, we’ve long thought that from this vantage point The Garth has something of that look about it.
Inside the container is a log book, pencil and our calling card. For the First to Find we’ve left a pretty porcelain button and a Lego astronaut. This is also the cache from where Fairy (attached to The LittleLegs 2013 Birthday Travel Slug Geocoin) has started her ambitious journey to reach Pompeii. That’s a long way from South Wales, but perhaps you can help in some small way. Do move Fairy on when you get the chance.
