The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates, whose latitude continues the theme of the cache and whose longitude is roughly the same as the northernmost point in DC.

I'm not sure exactly when I first heard about degree confluences. These are the places where the minutes portion of both coordinates is 00.000. (Being a numbers guy, it was only a matter of time!) North 39 West 122 is the closest degree confluence to my home in Davis, California ... and it's actually not that close.

Looking ahead before my visit to Maryland, I couldn't help but notice that I would very close to North 39 West 77. (I haven't visited it yet--in fact, I have never been to a confluence--but if it stops snowing, that could change in the next few days.)

So, while one can find many parallels between Maryland and California, it's the 39th that's relevant here! EDIT: Puzzle updated on 16 April 2018. If you solved the puzzle before then, you need to solve it again based on the following sentence or adjust one of your previously solved coordinates by 0.053 minutes. To find this cache, you will need to get to the 39th parallel, to a spot that is 15,654 feet and 12,639,408 feet from the two degree confluences mentioned in this description.
