135 North Park Street (Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre)

On May 2, 2000, selective availability (the scrambling signal applied to GPS signals) was turned off, greatly increasing GPS accuracy. On May 3, Dave Ulmer placed "the first stash hunt stash" and posted the coordinates on the internet. The groundwork was laid, and geocaching was born.

Come out and celebrate the 15th anniversary weekend of geocaching as Islander1988 hosts his 50th geocaching event. Hang out with fellow geocachers, swap stories, enjoy some time together, and we'll draw for some door prizes before we depart. The event will be held in the community room of the Bridgewater Margaret Hennigar Public Library, which is located at 135 North Park Street in the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre (Bridgewater Industrial Park).
