This is one of many locations of 'closed' rural country schools. Arras school was organized in 1917. The district consisted of 9 resident ratepayers having 8 school age children. During the years of operation approximately 170 students passed through the school. The school was closed in 1961 with the students being transported to the nearby centers of Muenster and Annaheim. In 1962 the school was moved to Muenster for a skating rink club house.
