Pigwidgeon is Ron Weasley’s first pet owl in the Harry Potter series. Sirius Black gives it to Ron when he feels sorry for him after it is found out that Ron’s previous pet rat Scabbers was actually Peter Pettigrew who was in the service of the Dark Lord.
Known as “Pig” for short, Ron’s owl performs the usual owl function of mail delivery but he also has a predilection for showing off to other people which prompted Ron to call him a “stupid little feathery git”.
This is an easy find along one of the neighbourhood paths that the city seems to be in the habit of closing off in recent years. This one intersects with a couple of laneways and eventually leads to a school a few blocks away so it should be safe for a while. Happy caching.
