This song introduces the almost 16-minute medley on the B side of Abbey Road, which has long been one of my favorite sides of pop music. It is thought that the song was a reference to ongoing monetary woes the band was having with their manager at the time Allen Klein. The reference to ‘funny paper’ was the result of Klein continually telling the Beatles how much they were worth on paper.
