The goal of this cache is to fill it with a penny from as many years as possible. You know you still have some lying around, so bring a penny with you!
I’ve started the cache off with pennies from 1984 to honour the great album of that name by Van Halen (actually released in 1983) and the not-so-prescient book by George Orwell with the same title. There’s also one from 2001 to recognize the Stanley Kubrick film ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ which you likely either love or hate (and again, was not such an accurate prediction of the future)!
So when you head out for this cache, bring along a penny - from any other year - to deposit. And why not post a picture of your penny and mention the year in your log to assist future finders!
Note: When you find the cache, you’ll notice that this area is used by ‘others’ at ‘certain times’ – you’ll know exactly what I mean when you get there – so please be extra diligent in returning the cache so that it is completely out of sight! Thanks!
