WHAT: WWFM XI
TIME: 6pm - 6.15pm
DATE: June 7th, 2014 - Saturday
PLACE: O'Connell Street, Dublin


WWFM – World Wide Flash Mobs – A fun and friendly way to promote geocaching around the world.
  Thousands of geocachers at dozens of coordinated events spanning the globe, gathering at the same time. Sonny and Sandy of the PodCacher podcast came up with the WWFM idea in 2007 after attending a mega-event.
It was meant to be a fun “opposite” of a mega-event: all the cool aspects of a geocaching event, crammed into 15 minutes of excitement.
An added dimension is represented by the letters "WW" - World Wide - these events occur across the planet on the same day at (mostly) the same time!
These caching events are intended to bring geocachers together in a creative way, as well as introduce others (newbies) to the hobby.

2014 saw 792 events taking place in 52 countries simultaneously.
We had 62 logging into the Dublin event and there was a good crowd in the sunshine in Belfast too!

We are hoping that the Dublin event will be even bigger and better than ever, and we hope to see both local and foreign friends for a brief meet
...there's a local cafe that the regulars know in easy reach if there too many TBs to be discovered!  

  This year's World Wide Flash Mob rainbow souvenir is the brightest yet so...Let's stand out this year, wear your brightest - most COLOURFUL rainbow outfit, and you could win a prize!!!

Event plan: (Only 15 minutes long!)
Until 6pm : Get here early. Stay not far from, though not right at the posted coords, somewhere you can see GZ, and act like a muggle.
6pm : Enjoy the fun spirit of the WWFM! Gather up quickly at the posted coords when you hear the signal.
In 15 minutes we will do a group photo - sign the log - have an FTF raffle then DISAPPEAR

Please enter a Will Attend (we know the locals frequently have commitment issues!) to help us make the necessary provision. See ye there!

For those cachers who might like to have a longer meet, discover TBs and geocoins etc, after the event finishes at 18,15, please note that there will be a good number expected to gather at N 53° 20.816 W 006° 15.891 where food and drink and geochat will be an option upstairs!
