Mdina was first fortified by the Phoenicians, then by the Romans, Arabs and Normans. It was identified as an ideal city far away from the sea with views of the island from above so as to look for any possible invading enemies.
The cache is situated in the 'Il-Foss tal-Imdina' which is the lately landscaped ditch around the old capital city. A visit to this recreational area and the Howard Gardens and playgrounds above are ideal for cachers with kids.
The ditch entry point closest to the cache are the stairs and lift at the very end of the playground.
The cache is a small plastic container including logbook and small trinkets. It is situated very close to the bus stops including the hop-on hop-off stops near Mdina.
GZ is wheelchair accessible but the cache is not.
Beware of visiting muggles.
The cache is not located in a wall or under rocks so do not disturb such structures.
The opening hours of the 'Il-Foss tal-Imdina' garden are from 07:30 - 22:00.
