LOCH SCAVAIG VIEW REVIVAL
Take your time and enjoy the view
This fine cache location, looks out across the waters of Loch Scavaig to the magnificent Cuillin, and lies along the sometimes difficult path linking Elgol and Camasunary.
The terrain is not unduly difficult, but the path can be slippery at times, and the grassy slopes down to the GZ likewise when wet.
The path leaves the Elgol road just before the steep drop to the village shoreline, with a suitable area for parking nearby, on the left, as you head for Elgol. Please be considerate when parking here, and do not obstruct gateways.
The cache is a direct replacement for the archived GC1RT4A (Loch Scavaig View) - the original container has been removed - and is on land owned by the John Muir Trust, who have given consent for the placement of caches on their Skye estates. John Muir Trust land is open to all, and they welcome all visitors. They trust visitors to respect the wishes of the people who live and work on the estates. As there is a large amount of crofting land on their estates, they would appreciate all dogs be kept under control in line with the Outdoor Access Code.
