This is a bigger than normal bison tube on an island near the Paddler's Coop on the Madawaska River near Palmer Rapids. You will need to leave your canoe or kayak to get this as it is the only way I can get it above the high water mark. Please approach from the smaller channel of the river as you will likely be watched by campers across the main channel.
Palmer Rapids is a favourite location to learn to canoe or kayak in white water. I felt this area needed a couple of caches, so placed this one and and another nearby.
You don't have to get near the white water to get this cache, although if you want to run the rapids first, you're more than welcome to. There is a put in for your canoe or kayak at the posted parking coordinates.
