RIP the big tree (the original home of Wished I was an apple). I'd had my eye on that spot since I started geocaching and figured I'd roll the dice and see how long I could get one to last, what with the heavy muggle traffic (especially when the kids from Senior are on smoke I mean lunch break). Never would have guessed the site would fall prey to loggers. Thank goodness edegrenier was there to save the cache. It's back up and running nearby (see coords).
Wished I was an apple... used to be a camouflaged pill bottle but, as the original container tended to go missing every month or so, I've transformed it into a micro & upgrade the sneakiness, branching out into a new-to-me style hide. If you've tussled with the Can you dig it (Yes I can)? cache, you have an idea of what this style is. Bring a writing stick. Oh yeah: Wished I was an apple... is a phrase from a nice old timey bluegrass tune. Look it up and you may have yourself a nice hint. Note: I'm bumping up the difficulty on this one a bit (from 1.5 to 3) after getting some feedback. Congrats to skihoodoo for the FTF on the original cache.
