G.G.A. Nicol and A.R. Thompson swapped the seat a couple times between 1972-1976. Nicol was first elected in 1972 and from May-June 1973 (during the time when Valleyview, Brocklehurst, Rayleigh, Barnhartvale, Dufferin and a large unincorporated area were added to the municipal boundaries) Thompson served as interim mayor. Nicol then returned to the seat until 1974 and then Thompson sat in the seat from 1975-1976.
