N40 47.717 W074 46.736, Difficulty 3 and terrain 3, altitude 951 ft. Cache lies roughly .5 mile from parking.
My first Cache is hidden in Schooley's Mountain Park. Be sure to wear shoes with good traction for some light rock climbing and dirt trails with a bit of slope. When you arrive at the park you want to follow the drive all the way to the upper parking lot. Start your trek from here and head towards the restroom which is right next to the trailhead.
Follow the sign and trail towards the overlook. This trail is mostly gravel for about 85 percent of your walk. You will come to a funky four way intersection where you want to turn right. Continue on for a good distance. When the main trail turns left you want continue straight ahead on the secondary trail, which continues down hill (be careful as this trail is rocky and rutted.) When this trail T's turn left and head toward the large rock formation which is the base of the overlook. Continue roughly sixty feet to the base of the rock formation. Somewhere near lies the Cache.
The Cache is hidden in a high traffic area yet is well concealed.
Please do be careful on the rocks!
