We stumbled somehow over this place and it's history. Here at Salah everyone can get free drinking water. In this old medina this foundation is a very special thing. Water access costs about 400 EUR just for the installation. A price a usual worker cannot afford. Salah's father founded a free water tap attached outside of the house many years ago and Salah himself inherited this institution. Every man and woman can get free water whenever he wants and how much he needs.
This area is mainly available from 09:00 - 20:00. This recommendation is for tourists, as this souk area closes and just locals stay in this area. Otherwise you will hear a "close", "closed" or "no square here" every 10 meters.
